Polished rod is an important part for connecting pump unites to sucker rod string in rod pumping unit. Our factory can provide two sorts of polished rod, general polished rod and one end upset type polished rod. They all are designed in accordance with API Spec 11B and are made of fine Cr-Mo alloy steel 42CrMoA (equivalent to AISI 4140).
Polished rod is featured by high strength, good toughness, and smooth surface and long service life. Its strength includes two grades (grade 1 and grade 2), its tensile strength is 655-1102 *** (95000-160000 PSI).
Anti-corrosion polished rod adopts Ni-Mo 20Ni2MoA (equivalent to AISI 4620) cold drawn, thread and surface polished work, moderate strength, toughness, the surface is smooth, long life. Applies to in the presence of corrosive medium oilwell.
When used, general polished rod connects with polished rod coupling but one end upset polished rod connects with sucker rod coupling.
